LUT Gallery — Tester Documentation
LUT Gallery is a fast macOS app for auditioning, validating, analysing and
building creative .cube LUTs. It pairs a GPU-rendered LUT browser with a full
colour-grade engine, so you can flip through hundreds of looks on your own
images, stack and tune them across a reference set, and inspect exactly what a
LUT does to colour — all in real time.
This guide is for testers. It explains every screen and every control: what it means and what it does.
The three modes
LUT Gallery has three top-level modes, switched from the segmented control in the title bar:
| Mode | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Preview | Audition one image through any LUT, fast. Grade the image, browse the library, see the look applied live. |
| Canvas | Validate a look across a set of reference images, with a multi-layer LUT stack (blend, tone, spaces, opacity). |
| Analysis | Inspect a LUT itself — 3-D cube, response curves, hue/saturation shifts, diagnostics and tags. |
A persistent LUT film strip runs along the bottom and a contextual Inspector sits on the right in every mode.
